A short checklist before you ship an app update

Most failed releases miss something small. Run through this list first.

Test on real devices, including an older one. Simulators hide performance and permission problems.

Check that the version number and build number are higher than the last release, and that release notes are written for users, not developers.

Confirm that your backend still works with the previous app version, because not everyone updates on the same day.

Know how you will roll back, and watch crash reports for the first 48 hours after release.
